The Dialogue was dictated by St. Catherine during an ecstasy that she experienced. In her vision, Catherine had a conversation with God, where she asked questions and God provided detailed answers. The quote is taken from one of the answers. Since it was written from the perspective of God speaking, we edited the words so it would not be interpreted as Catherine asking that we follow her will and the glory of her name. In the original “God’s will” is “My will” and “His name” is “My name.”
