St. Peter Julian Eymard was a priest and the founder of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. This religious order is  “a Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers whose mission is to share the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist.” The order was founded in Paris in 1856 and continues to follow St. Peter Julian Eymard’s “new way of life in the church, one completely shaped by the Eucharist celebrated, contemplated, and lived in communion.”
